Family photo shoot | Beth, Stephen and Freddie at Porthluney Beach, Cornwall
Ahhhhh Porthluney. Nestled on the Roseland, in prime pheasant hunting country, a stones throw away from the majestic Caerhays Castle. I LOVE shooting at this beach. I would hold all my Cornish beach photo shoots here if I could (I might make that a rule!). It's a bit of a trek to get to, but totally worth it.
I met this trio last Sunday for a lovely golden hour family photography session. The weather all weekend was horrendous - driving rains, weather warnings, floods, high waves etc. But the forecast predicted that by 2pm the rain would stop and we'd have sunny spells. We both kept an anxious eye on the forecast, watching for any changes (it was hard to believe at 11am when it looked like a hurricane outside that it could possibly turn nice in such a short time). But true to their word, the Met office was correct and it suddenly started to brighten up. By the time we met up, it had become really pleasant and mild!
Freddie was a month shy of turning 1 and there's another baby on the way (which they've just found out is a baby girl!) So there were lots of reasons to celebrate. They were the sweetest couple and Freddie was adorable. We did lots of screeching at each other which seemed to keep him happy. And we managed to avoid getting hit by the occasional freak wave which would suddenly wash right up. I wasn't so luck with my son last time we came here - he got knocked over and completely soaked - so something to watch for if the tide is coming in!
It was a fabulous family photo shoot, and I'm hoping that they love their photos!
