Why I do this

For the short time they’re all yours, and you’re their world.

13 years into parenthood, I have begun to realise how little time we actually have. The easy chats and close cuddles are fewer and farther between than I’d like to admit. The truth is, I underestimated how quickly it would go. It suddenly seems to change and that’s it. They’re not little any more.

Just like that, a chapter ends.

It hurts having to let go those versions of my children, while celebrating their independence. I know this will be true for you too.

I am so grateful to have some beautiful photos of their childhoods - my love language is seeing and capturing the beauty in the ordinary. They have a visual document of where they started, should they ever lose their way. As the world changes alongside them, these archives have so much more value than I ever imagined when I took them.

This is what I want your photos to be too.

For many years I have been obsessed with the art of creating space for real moments to unfold - the images that sum it up in a gesture or a glance. Whether it’s within the sacred hush of the newborn bubble, or chaotic adventures on the beach with a family, I don't just take casual snapshots of how it looks, I frame the love and connection you desperately want to hold onto.

Even into the older, more awkward years, where there are new layers that can feel hard. It all deserves to be captured.

Whatever stage you’re at, this is no rehearsal. The days in this chapter are numbered, and I want to help you savour it.

Q: I am feeling self-conscious about my postpartum body. Do I have to be in the photos?

A: Of course you don’t - I am not here to force anything. But your children will never look back at these photos and wish you looked different - they will only want to see how you looked at them.

Q: What if my children don’t behave during our family photo shoot?

A: There is no expectation of perfection, or for anyone to have to perform. I photograph the things you don’t realise you’re going to miss. Come as you are, and let’s see where it goes.

Q: Where is your studio located and do you travel?

A: My home photography studio space is located in Grampound (between Truro & St Austell). I also travel throughout Cornwall for outdoor and at-home sessions.
