Tiny bundle, huge joy!

She was another in a spate of surprise early arrivals lately - Hattie arrived well before her due date as scans were showing her as small. I received an email just before Christmas from her mum saying she was going in to be induced, expecting the baby to arrive within a few days!

They decided to bring their newborn session forward and capture her while she was still tiny, so with a few deft adjustments to my calendar we got her in at just 2 weeks old.

On the day of the session she was only 4lbs, but doing well. She still had a touch of jaundice, but was healthy and strong, just tiny!

Big Brother Duties

We’d had their maternity session not too long ago, so big brother Otis (2) was familiar with the house, and me. He wasn’t sure about being in photos but he amazed me by lying still with his baby sister for a few minutes - what a brave boy :). I think the white chocolate buttons may have had something to do with it, which reminds me I must get some more - they’ve been needed in a lot of shoots lately!!

It was great to see this family again, another returning clan with baby number two. I love documenting the progression and know they have so many special times ahead.
