Baby’s first year milestones for photo shoots
Bump to baby packages include a series of photo shoots that capture your baby’s first year. It is an amazing way to ensure you get gorgeous keepsakes and make the most of this fleeting time with your baby.
They’re only little once and it’s unbelievable how fast they grow and change in those first 12 months. It flies by in an endless flurry of firsts!
Milestone sessions
The milestones I love, and include in my packages, are as follows:
Maternity session (around 34 weeks)
Newborn session (6-10 days old)
Tummy time session (3-4 months)
Sitter session (7-9 months)
First birthday session
I absolutely LOVE these packages. It’s such an honour and a treat to watch the progression from bump to one year old, and it’s so lovely getting to know the families over that time.
Maternity Photo shoot
This is a good time to get to know you before your baby arrives. Whether in the studio or outdoors, these sessions are super laid back. Even if you’re nervous about the thought of being in front of the camera, having a couple of photos of your pregnancy is something you might appreciate down the road.
Newborn Session
This is the big one for most people, and rightly so! It’s a momentous time in anyone’s life and the newborn phase is so fleeting, its wonderful to have beautiful photos to look back on. I have met so many people who regret that they didn’t have newborn photos taken of their baby, especially first time around.
3-4 Month Milestone Session
This session is timed for when your baby typically starts to smile and interact, and can do some tummy time. It’s always amazing to see how big and chubby they’ve become! I’ve had a couple roll over for the very first time in the studio so it really is a milestone session!
7-9 Months Sitter Session
These are the most fun sessions to do. Scheduled once your baby is able to sit up unaided, and usually a very lovely time. Aside from teething, life is usually going well and they are really happy and easy to work with. I love doing these ones outdoors but studio is great too. There is such a variety of photos we can get from this session as your baby is comfortable sitting, lying down, and doing tummy time like a pro!
First Birthday Session
This is quite an emotion session. Bittersweet! It’s fantastic to see you and your baby again but it’s always sad to know it’s the last of our sessions. You’ve made it through the first year, and this is the perfect way to celebrate. We can have balloons, decorations, even a cake! This can be indoors our outdoors, depending on the season.
