I love it when Rudi’s family come for a shoot because his mum Jo gives me free reign and it’s like friends coming over for a catch up while I play around with the smallest baby and my camera. They’ve been coming to me for years, with all three babies. Rudi is the latest addition and growing fast!

Rudi is so sweet. Jo said she loves just enjoying quiet time with him while Matt handles the chaos of the toddlers downstairs. I get that! When you know it’s your last, there’s something so bittersweet about every moment. Especially when they’re really little, happy to go along with everything. They’re so gorgeous, you’re so much more confident and calm, and the older ones seem so much bigger and louder in contrast. Of course you love them, but you know this is it, the last baby. So much more precious and innocent in the knowledge.

I think Jo’s wondering if she can really handle that finality. She’s an amazing mother and I can easily see her with a big brood. I’m watching this space :)

Here’s Rudi, almost half way through the first year milestones package. It’s amazing watching them grow up as their family expands. It really makes what I do mean more than any amount I could possibly get paid. It’s never about that. These are memories I will treasure too.
