Baby Ryan joined our world on my eldest son's birthday, so while we were celebrating Ben turning six, Ryan was taking his first breath - such an amazing thought. 

Boys will always have a special place in my heart, especially newborns.  Don't get me wrong, when I have a baby girl booked in I'm in heaven, getting to indulge my girly side!  I love of all the pretty little things in my props collection, but as a mum of two boys I'm used to everything, well, boyish and there's a different kind of innocence and sweetness about a baby boy.

This was possibly the most chilled out newborn photography session ever.  Diana and Aigers are just the loveliest, sweetest couple.  They are from Latvia but live and work in Cornwall on a huge potato farm in Perrenwell Station.  I learnt a lot during the session - we had plenty of time to chat because their baby slept like a dream the entire time!  

It was so interesting to learn that in Latvia they don't issue a passport unless the baby's name is Latvian, so Ryan will have his English name, and a completely different name for his Latvian identity.  Interesting!

I love how they all look in the photos together, and Diana touching noses with Ryan is so adorable.  I also love the photos of her holding him at the end while he's crying and fussing with his hands up by his face.   

It's wonderful when a newborn session goes smoothly - we were wrapped up in 1.5 hours.  I truly appreciate these ones when I know how long it can take to settle these unpredictable little people.
