Sometimes I forget just how much courage it takes to step in front of the camera for my clients.  This couple were so nervous, like most people (including me! I feel very uncomfortable in front of a camera).  But they really wanted this pregnancy captured and a friend recommended me, which I hope gave them a little bit of confidence.

They’ve been trying for four years for this baby.  Four years!  I can't imagine how much they went through in that time.  When you decide to have a baby, it's so exciting and once the idea takes hold, it does consume you.  I think of the worry and doubt, overwhelming feeling of loss and frustration with each passing month, the tests and consultations, failed treatments etc.  They went down every route possible in that time.  Tried it all.  Even had surgery.  I can’t imagine!  And still nothing.

So after all that, they decided to go take a holiday - not only a break from trying, but a trip away to revive.  They were ready to accept that perhaps it was time to draw a line under the idea of having a baby of their own. They started to discuss adoption.  

And then BOOM.  Preggo! 

So here they are, with their little miracle who has been SO wanted for so long.  I wish them every blessing possible with their precious cargo! 

Maternity sessions can be in the studio in Truro, outdoors in Cornwall or in your home, and I promise I will try to make you feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible!
